Mink Oil is by far the most accessible product as major departmental stores carry them, usually in the shoes department. One thing to note is that oiling your leather may cause them to darken, especially with vegetable-tanned leather. From our experience, Mink Oil has the least impact on colorizations, as well as a fainter smell compared to the other two. As such, some of the pieces that we make do come with a light coating of Mink Oil to protect the leather.
To apply, do not be afraid to get your hands dirty; Use your bare hands and work the oils into the leather. Then, use a cloth to remove the excess oils from the surface and the leather will look full of life again. Take care of your leather and it will repay you with years of faithful service.
